What is Play Therapy?
Play therapy is a specialized form of counselling and psychotherapy designed for children typically aged 4 to 13. While adults talk through their problems, children use play as their natural language. In our dedicated playroom, your child uses toys, art, and storytelling to speak about things they may not have the words for yet.
How It Helps
In a safe, therapeutic environment, a trained therapist helps your child:
Process Big Emotions: Work through feelings like anxiety, anger, or sadness.
Develop Coping Tools: Build resilience and learn how to handle difficult situations.
Improve Social Skills: Practice empathy and better communication with others.
Resolve Trauma: Gently navigate difficult life events (like a move, loss, or family change).
Is it right for my child?
If you have noticed persistent changes in your child’s mood, behavior, or social confidence, play therapy offers a space for them to heal and grow. Every child is unique—the best way to start is with an initial consultation where we can discuss your family’s specific need.
