Clarity begins with the right questions—not a test alone.

Our psychologists combine clinical interviews, observation, history and suitable standardised tools to understand strengths, difficulties and support needs.

What we assess

Assessment pathways for different questions.

The most suitable pathway depends on age, concerns, context and the purpose of assessment.

01

Autism & social communication

A comprehensive pathway that considers development, communication, behaviour, sensory experiences and daily functioning.

02

Attention & ADHD

Assessment of attention, activity, impulse control and functioning across relevant environments.

03

Learning difficulties

Evaluation of reading, writing, academic skills and cognitive abilities where dyslexia or another learning difficulty is suspected.

04

Cognitive & adaptive functioning

Understanding thinking skills, strengths, support needs and practical functioning in everyday life.

05

Emotional & behavioural concerns

Clinical assessment when mood, anxiety, behaviour or adjustment concerns require clearer understanding.

06

Adult neurodevelopmental concerns

An appropriate starting point for adults wondering about ADHD, autism or longstanding differences in functioning.

How it works

A careful process from concern to recommendation.

  1. 1

    Initial consultation

Discuss concerns, history, development, functioning and the purpose of assessment.

  2. 2

    Assessment plan

Your psychologist recommends only the tools and information sources relevant to the question.

  3. 3

    Assessment sessions

Standardised tasks, questionnaires, interviews or observation may be used depending on need.

  4. 4

    Feedback & recommendations

Results are explained in plain language with practical recommendations and referral options.

Important distinction

Screening and assessment are not the same.

A free screener can help identify whether further discussion may be useful. It cannot confirm autism, ADHD, a learning disorder or a mental health diagnosis.

A formal diagnosis requires an appropriate professional assessment. Reports and assessment fees vary according to the tools and purpose involved.
