Understanding the service

What is ABA-informed support?

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) uses principles of learning to understand how skills develop and how everyday situations affect behaviour. ABA-informed support can break a skill into manageable steps and use practice and positive reinforcement to support learning.

At MY Psychology KK, the focus is individualised behaviour and learning support—not a one-size-fits-all programme. Goals should be relevant to the learner’s strengths, needs and everyday life.

Meaningful everyday goals

What can support focus on?

Communication & participation

Working towards expressing needs, participating in activities and building skills for everyday interactions.

Learning & academic skills

Individualised learning support that makes tasks more manageable and helps learners work towards their educational goals.

Daily living & independence

Developing practical skills for routines and everyday activities, with goals chosen around the learner’s needs.

Is this a suitable next step?

For children with autism & ADHD

Our ABA service focuses on children with autism and ADHD. Fidelia’s wider experience includes supporting children and young people aged 3–17 with a range of learning needs.

Suitability is individual. Contact us to discuss your child’s age and the communication, learning or daily living skills you would like support with.

Brief consultation with Fidelia

RM50 · 45 minutes

Discuss your concerns, help Fidelia learn about your child, and explore how ABA support may help. This is separate from the detailed ABA assessment.

ABA assessment & results briefing

RM150 · includes both appointments

Approximately one hour of child observation and interaction, followed by a separate 30-minute results briefing on another day. Fidelia explains the findings and graphs, your child’s starting point, proposed goals and recommended frequency.

Choose a Trial or ongoing package

After the briefing, you may choose the one-month Trial or enrol directly in Starter, Standard or Extended. Your RM150 assessment payment is credited once against your first package fee. Fidelia recommends session length and frequency based on your child’s needs and your family’s circumstances.

Review progress together

Trial includes a separate 30-minute parent review at the end of the one-month Trial, before you commit to the next package. Ongoing packages include a written progress report and a separate 30-minute parent review after each three months of therapy.

The ABA assessment guides support planning; it is not a diagnostic assessment for autism or ADHD. Please avoid sending sensitive reports until our team advises how to share them.

Therapy packages

Choose the support that fits your child.

Packages are based on hours over a four-week month, not a fixed number of appointments. Sessions may be one hour, including for younger children where Fidelia recommends it. Session length and frequency are tailored to your child’s needs and your family’s circumstances. Trial and Starter have the same hours and fee; Trial is a one-month introduction without a deposit.

Clear payment arrangements

Your assessment payment counts towards your first package.

The RM150 assessment credit applies once when you first enrol in Trial or an ongoing package. The RM50 consultation fee is separate and is not credited. Deposits are calculated using the full package fee before the credit.

Total across consultation, assessment & Trial

RM1,250 in total: RM50 consultation + RM150 assessment + RM1,050 Trial balance.

The RM150 assessment fee covers both assessment appointments; the results briefing has no additional fee. The credit is not applied again when you continue after Trial.

After Trial, continuing therapy requires the next month’s package fee plus a deposit equal to one month of your chosen package.

Before you book

Scheduling, deposits & changes.

Please read these arrangements before enrolment. Our team will confirm your dates, package and payment details with you.

Rescheduling & replacement sessions

Submit changes to the following month’s schedule before that month begins. Once the schedule and payment are confirmed, parent rescheduling requests require at least 24 hours’ notice.

The monthly allowance equals one week of package hours: Trial: 2 hours · Starter: 2 hours · Standard: 4 hours · Extended: 6 hours. The booked duration of each rescheduled appointment counts against this allowance. Less than 24 hours’ notice, or cancellations beyond this allowance, result in forfeiture with no replacement or refund—even if an allowance is unused.

Replacement sessions are arranged within the same package month, including the fifth week where available, subject to available slots. If you gave sufficient notice and stayed within the allowance but the centre cannot offer a slot, the session may carry into the following month only. It counts against the original month’s allowance and does not create a new cancellation allowance.

Changes initiated by the centre do not count towards your allowance and must be rearranged at no extra charge. Parent forfeiture rules do not apply to centre-initiated changes.

Deposit & notice when stopping therapy

Ongoing enrolment requires a deposit equal to one month’s package fee. Trial is exempt. Deposits are not refundable in cash and are applied to final therapy fees; an approved downgrade can release excess deposit as service credit.

With one month’s deposit held, notify the centre before your final month begins. The deposit is applied to that final month’s sessions.

With two months’ deposits held, give two months’ advance notice before the final two months begin. Both deposits are applied to those final two months’ sessions.

Changing your package

Changes begin from the next package month after Fidelia discusses suitable frequency and the centre confirms availability.

For an upgrade, pay the deposit difference before the new package starts. For a downgrade, the deposit required for the new package is retained and the excess is credited against your next monthly invoice—not refunded in cash.

If two months’ deposits are held, the balance is adjusted to two months of the new package fee and the two-month withdrawal notice still applies.

Taking a one-month break while keeping your slot

Request the break before the following month’s schedule and payment are confirmed. An approved one-month slot-retaining break requires an additional deposit equal to one month’s current package fee.

No ordinary monthly package fee is charged for the approved paused month. Normal monthly payments resume when sessions restart. Both deposits remain held for the final two months of therapy, under the two-month notice rule.

For Standard, the additional deposit is RM2,080, bringing the held deposit to RM4,160. There is no ordinary RM2,080 package fee for the approved paused month. The slot is retained only for the agreed one-month break; longer breaks require a separate discussion and are not reserved automatically.

Parent reviews & progress reports

Trial includes a separate 30-minute review at the end of the one-month Trial, before you commit to a subsequent package. Starter, Standard and Extended include a written progress report and a separate 30-minute review after each three months of ongoing therapy, with no additional review fee.

Fidelia explains progress, graphs, goals and recommendations. If you cannot attend promptly, therapy may continue under the existing plan while the review is rescheduled, subject to her guidance.

Common questions

A little clarity before you enquire.

Does my child need a diagnosis first?

You can enquire even if you are unsure about your child’s needs. Our service focuses on children with autism and ADHD; the consultation helps explore suitability and whether another assessment or service may be appropriate.

Is the ABA assessment a diagnostic assessment?

No. It helps identify your child’s starting point and plan support goals. A diagnostic assessment for autism or ADHD is a different service. Read about psychological assessment →

Is this the same as speech therapy?

No. Behaviour and learning support may include communication-related goals, but it is not a substitute for specialist speech and language therapy.

How often should my child attend?

Fidelia recommends session length and frequency after the assessment and results briefing, taking your child’s needs and your family’s circumstances into account. Sessions may be one hour, including for younger children where appropriate. Packages provide 2, 4 or 6 hours per week over a four-week package month; the number of appointments depends on the agreed session length. Progress varies between learners.

Can we start with a Trial?

Yes. After the assessment and briefing, the one-month Trial includes eight booked hours over a four-week month for RM1,200 with no deposit, plus a separate 30-minute review at the end of the one-month Trial. The RM150 assessment credit leaves RM1,050 payable to start Trial. If you continue, the next package fee and one-month deposit are payable.
