About Tin Fung
Tin Fung takes a collaborative, compassionate and practical approach to therapy. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and person-centred principles, he works with clients to understand their experiences, recognise patterns and develop ways of responding that support meaningful change. His work considers each person’s relationships, circumstances and cultural background, with space to move at a pace that feels manageable.
Tin Fung is the co-founder of MY Psychology and Innerhope Therapy. After working in Kepong, he returned to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, to establish MY Psychology KK, driven by a commitment to making mental health support more accessible in Sabah.
His vision extends beyond building a psychological centre. He hopes to bring together a multidisciplinary team of clinical psychologists, counsellors, psychiatrists and therapists from diverse backgrounds — including play therapy, music therapy, reading intervention, speech therapy and behaviour therapy. Through this shared approach, he aims to help individuals and families access support that responds to their different needs and stages of life.
He is also an HRD Corp Accredited Trainer and a Psychosocial Trained Person (PTP) listed by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), under registration DOSH PTP/CMCT/26/012. Through workplace mental health training and Employee Assistance Programme initiatives, he helps organisations build awareness of mental wellbeing and psychosocial risks, alongside practical ways to support their people.
